Step #1: Prepare The Saw For Installing Blade Guard
Disconnect the power cable and the key from the keyhole. Press the power button to the lock position.
Step #2: Remove The Screws
Use a screwdriver to remove the screws attached to the saw throat plate. Keep the screws in a safe place for reinstalling. Remove the saw throat plate.
When you remove it, you will find the riving knife in the lock position. Unlock the lever of the riving knife.
Step #3: Lock The Riving Knife
Use your hands to pull the riving knife upwards. Set it into the upper position and push the lever of the knife into the lock position. Again install the throat plate into its previous position.
Step #4: Set Anti-Kickback Pauls
To prevent the anti-kickback, set an anti-kickback pauls with the knife. You will find a button at the side of the pauls. Press the button and hold it for sometimes.
Now, attach it to the riving knife in the backside hole. Release the pauls and it should be safely locked with the knife.
Step #5: Set The Guard Lever
Take the guard lever and set it with the riving knife. But do not set the guard in its up position. Turn the guard at its back position and set it with the riving knife. Attach the guard in the center position of the knife.
Press down the front part of the blade guard to set the guard parallel with the cutting table. When the blade guard is properly parallel with the cutting table, lock the lever of the guard. Always make sure that all the fittings are accurate to perform the cut.
Done! The blade is now ready for cutting.
